It’s the stuff of fairy tales and Disney fantasies. Plucked from a roller coaster at an amusement park in her native country of Dominican Republic, Lineisy Montero has barnstormed her way to the pinnacle of fashion and couture in just two seasons. Her very first show was Prada A/W 2015, and was recently called “girl on fire” by Elle Magazine in their March ’16 issue. Because, she walked on 68 runways in the Spring 2016 season above any other model.
Lineisy, who now lives in Paris, has featured on catwalks and branding campaigns for Chanel, Tommy Hilfiger, Alexander Wang, Diane Von Furstenberg, Givenchy, Jason Wu, Prabal Gurung, Lacoste, Céline, Balenciaga, Givenchy, Louis Vuitton, Miu Miu, just to name a few.
In the Elle mini-feature, Tommy Hilfiger said, Lineisy “completely embraces the free-spirit glamour” of the 70’s era that inspired his Spring 2016 collection.” And, Prabal Gurung added “It’s as though modeling is innate to her.”
Low and natural, Lineisy calls her hairstyle of choice “cool girl-low maintenance.” And, on most runways, devoid of emotion, she tends towards a make-up look that’s irreproachably fresh and unaffected. Lineisy is signed to Next models.
