On January 26, 2016 Karl Lagerfeld presented his Spring 2016 Haute Couture collection for Chanel at the Grand Palais in Paris. The runway was a walkway in a vast faux verdant garden, complete with grass and a blue sky. The models walked out from a cavernous and multi-level wooden shed. Featured on the runway were the Hadid sisters, Gigi and Bella, as well as Kendall K. And, was attended by Cara Delevingne and Gwyneth Paltrow.
According to Vogue, “the collection spanned practical daywear, exotic eveningwear, and even a look for men.” But, what stood out for me was the tops. They were of various cuts and designs, including puff sleeves, a unique halter top, frills and frayed ends. However, what was really exciting was the grand textures of each design.
There was also a couple of dresses and outfits that really stood out, including the long black sleeveless maxi dress worn by Kendall, and it’s pretty multi-colored print version.
